APARTMENT OR HOUSE?

Do apartments cost less to clean?

The price depends on bedrooms, bathrooms, the home’s condition, how often you book and any extras, not on whether it’s an apartment or a house. A one-bedroom apartment and a one-bedroom house with the same bathrooms cost the same, and there’s no charge for the floor, the lift or the building.

Live prices are temporarily unavailable. Your price is shown in booking.

How does the cleaner get into my building?

Through the details you put in your booking notes. Add them when you book, or update them from your account before the visit.

  • Intercom, keys and fobs

The building or intercom code, or where a key or fob will be left. Concierge buildings: tell the desk the cleaner is coming.

  • Lifts and stairs

Which lift to use, any times the building limits trades, and the floor. Walk-ups are fine; say how many flights.

  • Parking

Where the cleaner can park: a visitor bay, the street or a loading zone. They bring their supplies and equipment up from the car.

  • If the cleaner can’t get in

Keep the access details current. If the cleaner can’t get in at the booked time, our booking terms explain what happens next.

Prepare the work, access and notes. A little preparation gives the clean a clear starting point.

Preparation helps the cleaner reach the agreed areas. Do not move heavy furniture or attempt unsafe access; discuss any obstruction or special requirement before the visit.

WEEKLY, FORTNIGHTLY OR EVERY FOUR WEEKS

How often should you book a regular clean?

You can also book a one-off.

Not sure? Start fortnightly. If the house needs us again by the end of the first week, move to weekly; if it still looks good at two weeks, try every four. You can change the frequency from your account. Our guide to how often to hire a cleaner goes through household size, pets and allergies.

Live prices are temporarily unavailable. Your price is shown in booking.

Will the first visit cost more?

Only if your home needs more attention. When you book, you tell us how much attention it needs. A home with some build-up or that needs a proper reset gets extra time on the first visit, and that visit costs more; every later visit is charged at the regular price.

If it’s been months, or you want the oven and more detailed cleaning before settling into a routine, a deep clean first can make more sense. A standard first visit catches up on everyday surfaces; it isn’t booked for inside appliances unless you add them.

Inside oven, fridge and kitchen cupboards are optional extras with Standard. Deep includes the oven; fridge and kitchen cupboard interiors remain optional. End of Lease includes all three.

GOOD TO KNOW BEFOREHAND

Outside the usual scope

Mould removal, hazardous waste, heavy lifting, high-reach areas and chandeliers aren’t part of these domestic cleans. Repairs, pest control and gardening need separate arrangements.

Carpet steam cleaning isn’t part of a Standard Clean; vacuuming is included. You can add it to a Deep or End of Lease Clean, or book it on its own.

A balcony or patio can be added as an extra. Regrouting, sealing, exterior cleaning and other specialist work aren’t part of our cleans; ask the team before booking.

WHO WE WELCOME INTO YOUR HOME

Experienced cleaners. Thoughtful checks.

We look for people who already know how to clean professionally and are committed to quality service. Our application process checks who they are, how they work and whether they are ready for the services they offer.

  1. Identity verification

Cleaners complete an identity check before they can be approved to take bookings.

  2. Professional cleaning checks

New applicants tell us about their professional cleaning experience, skills and equipment for the services they offer. Answers that need a closer look are flagged for review.

  3. Mandatory safety checks

Every cleaner completes practical safety questions covering cleaning products, surface care and keeping bathroom and kitchen cloths separate. Safety answers that need attention must be resolved before they can take new jobs.

  4. Phone screening

We screen every applicant over the phone before approval.

  5. Online orientation

Our signup flow includes three short cleaning videos with quizzes covering kitchens, bathrooms and living areas.

  6. Quality & ratings checks

Our checks continue after approval. Customers can rate every clean. We closely monitor each cleaner’s ratings and feedback, and follow up when a clean falls short.

  7. A personal quality promise

Each cleaner personally accepts our quality agreement for the services they offer during signup and skills setup. They commit to doing their best to deliver a premium clean and returning at no extra charge if you report a cleaning concern or leave a low rating within 48 hours of your clean ending. The 48 hours is for reporting a concern; the return visit is arranged afterwards.

Team members complete their own checks and make their own quality promise. A team leader’s experience does not replace each cleaner’s personal skills, safety checks or identity verification.

Care & Cover

A little more peace of mind.

Every clean comes with Care & Cover: our Happiness Guarantee, published insurance cover and a team to turn to.

  1. 01The Happiness GuaranteeIf something on the booked list isn't right, tell us within 48 hours. We arrange a complimentary re-clean of those areas within seven business days, and if you're still unhappy we review it and offer a fair credit or refund.
  2. 02Up to $10 million public liability insuranceOur service terms describe up to $10 million in public liability insurance through Chubb Insurance Australia. If something is damaged, send a photo and a reasonable estimate, and it goes through the separate damage and insurance process.
  3. 03A team to turn toCall 1300 009 363, Monday to Saturday, 9 to 5, or get help online. You pay after your clean, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before.

Care & Cover isn't an insurance policy, and conditions apply: a re-clean doesn't apply when a clean couldn't go ahead as booked, such as no access, water or power. Care & Cover, in full · Service terms

APARTMENT CLEANING QUESTIONS

Questions people ask about apartment cleaning

Ask us anything
01Do you clean studio apartments?

Yes. Book a studio as a one-bedroom home with its bathrooms, and tell us it’s a studio in your booking notes.

02Do I need to be home?

No. Add entry instructions, the intercom code or where to find a key, and keep pets secured.

03I’m moving out of my apartment. Which clean do I need?

Book an end of lease clean. It adds the inside of the oven, fridge, cupboards, wardrobes and windows, and walls, for an empty home.

Questions about an apartment clean

A few things
you might be wondering.

Ask us anything
01Can I book a one-off standard clean?
Yes. Choose a one-off visit or one of the recurring options shown in booking. Tell us how much attention your home needs. Some build-up or a proper reset adds time and cost to the first visit.
02Will I have the same cleaner each visit?
You can let the team know you’d like to keep the same cleaner. Availability can change, so confirm arrangements with us rather than relying on a guaranteed person for every visit.
03How is the price worked out?
The price uses your service, home size, cleaning condition, frequency, extras and applicable fees. The estimate above includes mandatory fees and GST for its stated assumptions. Confirm your address, date and final itemised price in booking.
04Do I need to supply products or equipment?
Cleaning supplies and equipment are included in the published service information. If you need a particular product or have a sensitive surface, confirm with the team before the visit. We don’t make blanket claims that every product is suitable for every household.
05What if I need to change my booking?
Use your customer account to view or reschedule your booking, or get help from the team. Cancellation or change fees may apply under the booking terms; review these before confirming a change.
06Are your cleaners insured?
Yes. Every cleaner is identity-verified before their first clean, and our service terms describe up to $10 million in public liability insurance through Chubb Insurance Australia. If something is damaged, send us a photo and a reasonable estimate within 48 hours and it goes through our damage and insurance process. Care & Cover, in full.

Are the balcony and windows included?

Outside windows, glass you can only reach from outside and anything above a two-step ladder aren’t part of our cleans.

Optional extras and what they cost

Inside the oven, fridge and cupboards, interior windows, a load of laundry (washed, dried and folded) and a balcony or patio can be added to a standard clean. Each extra is priced in booking before you confirm. On a regular plan, an extra applies to the first visit unless you add it again.

Extras and their prices are shown in booking.

Do you clean the common areas of the building?

No. An apartment clean covers the inside of your home. Lobbies, stairwells, car parks and other common property belong to the owners corporation, and building cleaning is a separate business service.

STANDARD OR DEEP?

Should you book a standard or a deep clean?

Book standard when your home is kept on top of and you want the everyday jobs done well. Book deep when it needs a proper reset, including the inside of the oven, grout, skirting boards and ceiling fans. Fridge and kitchen cupboard interiors are optional extras with either clean. You can also upgrade a standard booking to a deep clean at checkout.

What each clean includes
TaskStandardDeep
Carpet steam cleaningBook separatelyBook separately
How often you can bookOne-offOne-off
Time booked, 2 bed, 1 bath——
One-off price, 2 bed, 1 bath——

Inclusions come from the checklist our cleaners work through on every visit of that service, and the extras offered in booking. Prices are AUD per visit from our booking calculator, including GST and the Care & Cover fee, for a home that has been kept on top of, with no extras or discount code. Prices are the same in every city we serve. Time booked is for one cleaner; a team of two shares it, so they are on site for about half as long. Regrouting, sealing, mould removal and exterior windows are not part of any clean.

How long does a standard clean take?

A team shares that work and can spend less time in your home, at the same fixed price for the booked scope. This is a planning estimate, not a guaranteed finish time.

In a one or two-bedroom home that’s cleaned regularly, that’s roughly two to two and a half hours for one cleaner. A first visit, a larger home or extras add time, and the booking allows for it.

Our guide to how long a house clean takes explains current standard-clean estimates by home size, team time and two- or three-hour priorities.

Booked times are shown in booking for your home.

How to prepare for an apartment clean

A little preparation.
A useful head start.

No need to clean before your clean. These small preparations help make the visit work for your home.

  1. Make the surfaces accessible

Put away loose items where you can, so your cleaner can spend their time cleaning the surfaces underneath.

  2. Leave the little details

Add access instructions, parking information and priorities in the booking notes. Confirm special products or sensitive surfaces with the team.

  3. Prepare any extras

If inside appliances or cupboards are included or added, empty them so they’re ready to clean. Let the team know if you need help planning access.

Same cleaner, schedule changes and regular prices

  • Keeping the same cleaner

Ask to keep the same cleaner and we’ll try to roster them for your visits. Leave and rosters change, so we can’t promise the same person every time.

  • Moving or cancelling a visit

Change a visit from your account. With 24 hours’ notice or more there’s no fee; with less, a $70 fee may apply.

  • Regular-plan prices

If a price changes, we tell you at least seven days ahead.

  • Pausing or stopping

Pause or cancel your plan from your account at any time, with 24 hours’ notice for the next visit.

A ten-minute reset most evenings keeps the house feeling clean until the next visit: clear and wipe the kitchen benches, empty the sink, squeegee the shower screen and put things back where they live. Leave the scrubbing, floors and bathrooms for the clean.
