Should I book a deep clean or add tasks to a standard clean?
Compare the tasks you need across the whole home before comparing the totals.
If your regular clean covers most of the work and the oven is the main extra, compare a standard clean with the oven add-on. If several rooms need detailed attention, compare that complete quote with a deep clean and its current inclusions.
For a move-out, check end-of-lease cleaning costs instead. The booked checklist matters more than choosing a service with a similar name.
Use the spring-cleaning checklist to separate the tasks you will do yourself from those you want to book. Clear and declutter areas first; this helps access but does not automatically reduce a fixed home-cleaning price.
Is a spring clean the same as a deep clean?
Yes. A spring clean is the seasonal name for a deep clean, so book a deep clean and it is priced the same way.
If the home needs walls washed, blinds cleaned or interior window glass done as well, add them as extras; the extras table lists each price. Our spring cleaning page explains when a seasonal deep clean is worth booking.
Can I book deep cleans regularly?
Yes.
Many customers start with a deep clean and continue with standard cleans, which cost less per visit. The table under the quick answer shows deep clean prices for each frequency.
How does build-up affect a deep clean?
A home that needs a proper reset has its own allowance and charge. The table uses current booking totals for the same home; first-visit adjustments drop off later visits.
Before you book, compare the cost of the condition charge with the price difference to a standard clean: a home that has gone a while often needs a deep clean's extra time anyway. The table shows each total for the same home.
The booking calculator applies condition adjustments, any recurring discount, Care & Cover and rounding. Compare the complete first-visit and later-visit prices for the same home. Selecting a recurring plan does not remove extra work needed on the first visit.

Deep clean prices are published less often than standard or end of lease prices, and many are 'from' prices. Compare each provider's included work and paid extras before comparing totals. Published prices read from each provider’s own website on 12 October 2026, as advertised, not quotes for a specific home. GST is shown only where the provider states it; an ex-GST price is compared with 10% added. A price is counted as lower or higher only when it is a stated price for the same bedrooms and bathrooms and is not a regular-visit rate. What does a Simply Maid price include, and who does it suit?
A fixed checklist for your home at a price you see before you book, with GST, products, insurance and a free re-clean if something on the checklist is missed. It suits people who want that certainty more than the lowest hourly rate.
What our price includes
- A fixed price for your bedrooms and bathrooms, shown before you book, with GST and the Care & Cover fee in it. Many providers also publish fixed prices, so compare the checklist as well as the total.
- The same price on any day a cleaner is available.
- Your cleaner brings the products and equipment, as most cleaning companies do.
- Care & Cover: $10M public liability insurance and ID-verified cleaners. If something on the checklist is missed, tell us within 48 hours (we may ask for photos) and we arrange a free re-clean within seven business days; if you are still unhappy, we review it and offer a fair credit or refund. - Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your clean; inside 24 hours a fee may apply under the current cancellation terms.
- You pay after the clean. A temporary security hold is placed on your card about 48 hours before; it is not a charge.
Who we suit, and who we may not
We suit you if you want a set checklist done in one visit at a price you know beforehand, with someone to contact if something is missed. Another provider may suit you better if you want the lowest hourly rate, want to choose the hours and tasks yourself, or need work outside our published checklists. Carpet steam cleaning can be booked on its own or added to a deep or end-of-lease clean.

The table shows the cleaner time we book for a deep clean by home size; a team of two shares it, so they are on site for about half as long.

Deep cleaning price questions
Do I need a deep clean before regular cleaning?
Not always. If the home was cleaned recently a standard clean is enough; if it has been a few weeks or longer, a deep clean or the first-visit condition option brings it up to a level regular visits can keep.
Is a deep clean the same as an end of lease clean?
No. An end of lease clean is for an empty home you are leaving or moving into and includes interior windows; a deep clean is for a lived-in home.
Do I need to supply products or equipment?
No. Your cleaner brings the supplies and equipment for the service you book.
Are prices different in each city?
No. A deep clean costs the same in all seven cities we serve.

Current prices come from our live booking calculator; booking figures from completed Simply Maid cleans; market prices from other companies' own websites.

Booking figures
One completed clean is one observation; cancelled, test, staff, $0 and fully refunded bookings are excluded. Medians are shown only at 30 or more cleans from 20 or more customers. Add-on history counts standard cleans only, because deep and end of lease packages have included some of these tasks as standard. Our customers are not a sample of the whole market.
Market prices
Prices published on each company's own website, read on the date shown. We exclude marketplace and guide estimates, template sites and franchise duplicates.
Current prices, discounts, allocated times and interior inclusion summaries are read from the production booking catalogue. These describe new bookings; existing recurring customers retain their agreed terms. Historical paid prices and dated competitor research describe their stated periods.
